This inaugural edition of SCAF focuses on contemporary craft art in China. It aims to provide an international platform for craft artists, designers, galleries, collectors, art professionals and general audience, to explore the latest development of craft art in China and beyond. 

Through the SCAF exhibition, professional exchanges, academic discussions on art market, SCAF emphasises on the contemporary transformation of traditional craftsmanships, to reassess a variety of materials and techniques in the practices, and to translate the past to the present and future. 

In the contemporary cross-cultural context, SCAF will share, innovate and develop new ideas, understandings and aesthetics in craft art, to reimagine the everyday life today.
