Founded by Ms Binglin Zheng and Dr Zuoyi Zhao in 2022, ZII has been dedicated to establishing an innovative model of cross-cultural art exchange platform, serving as a catalyst among cross-cultural artist groups.
Through the nucleus of the London art community, to promote the emerging of young art talents and organic interchange among art pioneers. At the same time, ZII and its partner galleries, art spaces, cultural institutions and other organizations provide young artists, curators, students and spontaneous cultural groups with novel and dynamic forms of public engagement through art exhibitions, cultural events, art bazaars, workshops, forums and other diversified public engagement methods.
ZII is actively involved in pursuing commercial collaborations between brands and individual artists to expand its reach in the fields of education, publishing, collecting and product design. The platform provides richer opportunities for young future art practitioners, fostering the development of new art forms and cross-cultural dynamics between the UK, East Asia and Europe.
Through artistic activities and published critiques, ZII aims to create a brand atmosphere that embraces academic rigour with cultural vitality, cultivating an active cultural community and discourse.
Binglin Zheng is the founder and director of ZII Gallery in the UK. Established in 2022, the gallery showcases innovative and thought-provoking contemporary art, representing a diverse group of emerging and established artists from around the world. ZII Gallery hopes to provide a platform for these artists and to foster a community of art enthusiasts, collectors, and scholars.
Beyond her contributions to the art sector, Ms. Zheng has been proactively involved in the fields of real estate and participation investments since 2020. She also founded WHEAT HENRY LIMITED, thereby further expanding her professional portfolio.
Dr. Zuoyi ZHAO is an ardent art enthusiast. With both a Medical degree and a PhD, she firmly believes that art embodies the creativity of humanity and the desire for expression. She asserts that art possesses the profound ability to connect people and heal the psyche, especially in an era dominated by AI and media.
Neo (Jiapu) Gao is an art ethnographic researcher and paralleled practised as a transdisciplinary artist, his practices encompassed writing, sculpture, sound installation, moving images and performance. His artistic motives are usually cultivated by autobiographical poetic writing, where he may be self-empowered to re-narrate the identity politics and histories in archival objects. He collages the dislocated cultures of the foreign and the local through the lens of contemporary migrants, reproducing mythological transpositions and individual life narratives through various materials. His recent research focuses on pan-East Asian oral histories of migration, geo-ethnography, characteristics and changes in social noise in post-millennial.

Mel is an alumna of University College London, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. She has previous experience in Chinese financial newsrooms and the UK's real estate sector. Currently, she oversees Marketing and Public Relations for ZII Gallery.
Xin Shao obtained a Master's degree in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of Leicester in the year 2024. Her professional background encompasses nine years of engagement in the domain of marketing, alongside her endeavors as a creative writer. Ms. Shao harbors a deep-seated passion for the sphere of contemporary art, and she has actively participated in the curation and organization of multiple exhibitions through collaborative efforts.
